A good cup of coffee can make or break my day

A good cup of coffee has been a part of my morning routine for as long as I can remember. As a single mom of 6, that creamy cup of Joe is more necessary than ever.
Once just a morning luxury, a strong cup of coffee has become essential.
As a longtime coffee lover, I’ve tried them all, and while I enjoy coffee in all forms, I do have my preferences.
I currently own a French press, a drip coffee maker and. Keurig! I use and enjoy the all. But lately, my coffee of choice is instant and I like to drink it iced.
Here’s how I make my daily cup of coffee
Everyone seems to have their own method of making their favorite coffee. Here’s mine:
1 heaping tablespoon of powdered sweetener (I prefer Splenda)
1 heaping tablespoon of Cafe Bustelo instant coffee
3 ounces of water
2 ounces of half & half
I stir this all together, and it will make a very strong coffee concoction. Fill the cup the rest of the way with ice. As the ice melts, it will water down the coffee, but because it’s already very strong, the iced coffee never gets so watered down that it doesn’t taste good.
Sometimes, I’ll add just a dash of Himalayan pink salt and a dash of cinnamon to my cup before I stir and add ice. Other options for flavoring this drink, too, include vanilla, caramel, or even chocolate. For those on a keto or low-carb diet, just make sure that all additives are sugar-free and substitute heavy cream instead of half & half.

Be warned: Cafe Bustelo is strong! It’s a great choice for me, a single mom of 6 and a lifelong coffee drinker, because it gives me the flavor and boost I need. If you’re new to coffee, you may want to start with something less strong.
